Aromatherapy with essentials oils is no different from the scents we witness naturally in our environments.  Each scent is unique in its healing qualities both physically and mentally.  In fact, aromatherapy dates back to Biblical days when frankincense and myrrh were brought by the three kings in order to anoint Jesus at birth. Not to mention, the Egyptians developed one of the first distillation machines to extract oils from certain plants such as cedarwood, clove, and cinnamon with the purpose to embalm the dead. In addition, the Chinese developed a more pleasant purpose for the infused aromatic oils.  They found the oils to be useful as a mood enhancers and ways to nourish the soul.

The principle behind essential oils is that they are of the purest substances, derived from flowers, leaves, bark or roots of plants. Our earth in its simplest form offers numerous benefits to combat the stressors we incur from our environments.

In conclusion, don’t allow stress or anxiety to get the best of you!  Instead, utilize what nature has provided us and equip yourself with the resources to live your best life ever!  As a stated earlier, take time to smell the roses or in this case, these essential oils such as lavender.  In addition, you can put any one of these oils in with you when you take a shower, put a few drops on an item of clothing to keep with you throughout the day, or better yet, put them into a diffuser so that you’re entire house can be filled with the scent.  You got this – be proactive.
