Do essential oils fight off disease?
Have you ever wondered if there was a simpler, more pleasant way to fight an illness or disease? Personally, I do not find a harsh, aggressive round of antibiotics to be very appealing. However, I do like the idea of utilizing aromatic oils to minimize or even cure a particular illness. Therefore, the big question is if this is even possible?
Understanding essential oils
On our planet, we have access to approximately 500,000 different types of plants, but not all of them can produce essential oils. In fact, only 3.6% or 18,000 have the capability to do so. An interesting fun fact is that essential oils in plants do the same thing that water and blood do in our bodies. They are the carriers of nutrition into cells and the facilitator of waste removal.
Essential oils and the human body
So what happens if we apply these essential oils to our bodies? Will we receive the same effects that plants do? The answer is most certainly YES! Fortunately for us, essential oils act in the same manner in humans as they do with plants by cleansing the body. For example, when your skin gets cut, you begin to bleed which is the bodies way of removing any bacteria and promoting tissue healing. This same process happens when the skin on a plant gets cut – the oils act as the blood of the plant. In addition, essential oils can bond with heavy metals and toxins and thus, push them through the channels of elimination. Not to mention, they can aid in absorption of vitamins and nutrients.
Therapeutic properties of essential oils
Essential oils are very rich in oxygen and within the human body can yield unsurpassable levels of oxygenating molecules. In fact, they out number any other substance here on Earth as to its oxygen content. Due to this immense oxygen concentration, their therapeutic properties are 50 times stronger than the plant alone. When the body absorbs the essential oil, it receives more than enough oxygen to maintain cell function. This includes the movement of nutrients in and out of the cell, as well as keeping things balanced. The more oxygenated your cells are, the more nourished they will be and thus, deflect any pathogens trying to get in.
The human body is actually an “electrical machine” and therefore, susceptible to many external electrical sources. These external sources may include your television, microwave, and lights in your home. Unfortunately, these sources can cause our normal frequency (when awake) of 62 – 72 Hz to drop to a level where disease can creep in. On the bright side, essential oils can come to the rescue with their electrical frequencies of 52 – 320 Hz. In fact, you can’t find another “living” substance with a higher frequency out there. Due to their “live nature,” they can integrate with the human frequency and increase it to a point where disease will find the human body hostile.
Channels for delivering essential oils into the body
Essential oils can be taken into the body in four different ways: inhalation, skin absorption, ingestion, and tissue absorption from our body cavities. According to the German school, inhaling the essential oil is the most efficient, quickest way to get the oil into the bloodstream and straight to the brain. However, the English believe in skin absorption of diluted essential oils in smaller amounts by way of massage. Subquently, after only 21 minutes of application, the essential oil will infiltrate every single cell in the body. As for the French, they prefer to ingest the essential oils orally, but still apply all the methods in routine practice.
How do I properly use essential oils?
It is recommended to only use high quality essential oils rather than oils meant only for their aroma or spice. In addition, it’s advised to follow the specific guidelines on usage of essential oils as outlined in a reference book. Lastly, if you experience any burning after skin application of an essential oil, refrain from using soap and water for removal, instead dilute it with carrier oils such as coconut oil or olive oil. If you take some time to do some research, you will maximize your essential oil benefits and become hooked!
Examples of essential oils with therapeutic properties
- Clove can be used to ward off bacteria, virus, and fungi because it “shields” the human body rendering it inhabitable to them.
- Frankincense can be used to boost the immune system and thus, eliminate harmful bacteria and viruses.
- Peppermint can be used to subdue symptoms such as vomiting, fever, and nausea.
- DigestZen can be used to eliminate painful gas and bloating, as well as calm the upset stomach.
